COVID 19 – Making Smart Decisions

The current world landscape is changing the way we behave in nearly all aspects of our lives. It feels like Covid-19 has upended everything, some changes have been positive, others, not so much. Additionally, the information being provided isn’t always clear or logical, leaving many people feeling uneasy and anxious.

The intention of this seminar is to give a brief overview of SARS-CoV-2, and then open the discussion for any questions you may want to ask regarding how to stay as safe as possible on both a personal and professional level.

There is a need to feel in control and safe in your environment. Increasing knowledge and understanding of the situation we find ourselves in today will help us all to make educated and safe choices. The hope is that by learning more and adapting behavior in meaningful and deliberate ways, we can come out on the other side of this pandemic with tools and an understanding we could not have imagined just a few short years ago.

Presented by Gretchen Larusch, MPOD 15

I am a mom of 3 girls (Olivia, 22; Sidney and Savannah, 20) and recently became a Gigi to sweet little Carter (4 months old.)

I have been working in the area of basic science research for 19 years. My background includes a variety of scientific areas of focus including cancer, hematology, drug development and immunology. Most recently I have accepted a role managing clinical trials in the Center for Personalized Genetic Healthcare at Cleveland Clinic.

I graduated from CWRU with my MBA in 2018 and am a MPOD 15 graduate (2020.) My passion is centered around bringing positive change and interpersonal relations to the analytical world of science.
